Join in the fun at a Tri-Valley down home patriotic "Welcome Home Celebration" for the troops returning from Operation: Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The event is being hosted by the City of Livermore and co-sponsored by the cities of Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore.

Join the day long celebration on Saturday, August 16th. The festivities begin with a parade featuring the returning troops commencing at 10 am on First Street in downtown Livermore. A picnic at Robertson Park in Livermore immediately follows the parade from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm. An Honors Ceremony for the troops will also be held at 1:30 pm at Robertson Park. Admission to all the events is free, and a variety of food and beverage booths will be available for attendees.

Adopt-A-Unit Program
Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore have each adopted a unit from the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles". Although the units are currently deployed, a few individuals remain at Fort Campbell. Local communities have set as a goal to honor the deployed units with a representation of four individuals from each unit at the parade and ceremony. Individuals and companies can assist in getting the troops to the event by contributing money to help cover the cost of plane tickets and hotel rooms.
