BOOK BUCK$ FAMILY READING PROGRAM

Join the Tri-Valley Herald for their 2005 Book Buck$ News Nation reading road trip. This award-winning family reading project gets kids into a daily reading habit while rewarding them with Book Buck$.

Reading Pays Off
From February 14-18, 2005 reading will pay off for children participating in the Book Buck$ program. More than 12,000 students will be taking a reading road trip across the nation by reading the newspaper each day and learning about their country and then writing about what they learn, with the help of their parents. At the end of the week, all young travelers on this imaginative journey across America will be rewarded with Book Buck$ they can spend on everything from books to zoo passes.

Participation
There are two ways Hacienda affiliates can participate in this reading road trip. Sponsorships are welcome to help bring the program to local schools or you can donate a prize for the participants to "buy" with their buck$. A number of recognition opportunities are available to event supporters.
