The City of Pleasanton and the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Fighters #1974 invite the local community to take part in an opportunity to extend a helping hand to the victims of Hurricane Katrina as Pleasanton Gives Hope. Be sure to be on hand Saturday, October 1st for a pasta feed and silent auction fundraising event.

Pleasanton Gives Hope Event
Join the City of Pleasanton and the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Fighters #1974 on Saturday, October 1st from 2pm to 7pm at Amador Valley High School located at 1155 Santa Rita Road for a pasta feed and silent auction fundraising event to raise funds that will be given to the American Red Cross with 100% of the donations going directly to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The event will include a no cost pasta feed (donations will be accepted), silent auction, music, free finger printing for kids, a D.A.R.E. program from the Pleasanton Police Department, the LPFD Fire Safety Trailer with Disaster Preparedness information and more. Drive thru donations will also be accepted at the front of the high school on October 1st.

Other Designated Donation Spots
If you would like to donate to the Pleasanton Gives Hope Hurricane Katrina fund but cannot attend the October 1st event, there are other locations throughout Pleasanton that are accepting donations for the Pleasanton Gives Hope fund:
  • City Hall at 123 Main Street from 8am to 5pm
  • Council Chambers at 200 Old Bernal Avenue from 8am to 5pm
  • Public Library at 400 Old Bernal Avenue during regular operating hours
  • Gingerbread Preschool at 4333 Black Avenue from 8:30am to 4pm
  • Pleasanton Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings through the month of September

If you are making a donation by check, please make the check payable to the Red Cross and designate Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund in the memo portion.
