BOOK BUCK$ FAMILY READING PROGRAM

Join the Tri-Valley Herald for their 2007 Book Buck$ Family Reading Program. This award-winning family newspaper literacy program gets kids into a daily reading habit while rewarding them with Book Buck$ at the end of the week.

Reading Pays Off

From February 5-9, 2007 reading will pay off for children participating in the 2007 Beakers and Bubbles Science Nonfiction for the Family Book Buck$ program. More than 40,000 students, siblings and their parents will be learning about the presence of science in their daily lives by following along with Romemary Thyme, a modern-day laboratory researcher whose primary interest is systematic fun and adventure. At the end of the week, all young participants will be rewarded with Book Buck$ they can spend thanks to the generosity of local merchants and benefactors.

Participation

There are two ways Hacienda affiliates can participate in this award-winning program. Sponsorships are welcome to help bring the program to local schools or you can donate a prize for the participants to "buy" with their buck$. A number of recognition opportunities are available to event supporters.
