CITIZENS' POLICE ACADEMY
Enrollment is now open for the Fall 2007 session of the Pleasanton Police Department Citizens’ Police Academy. The program is open to adults living or working in the City of Pleasanton who successfully complete a background investigation.
The Fall 2007 Citizens' Police Academy will begin on Thursday, September 6th and conclude on December 13th. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The classes are primarily taught by department personnel and cover a wide variety of topics including: community policing, patrol procedures, radio communications, SWAT, narcotics investigations, crime prevention, traffic enforcement, K-9's, evidence collection, use of force issues, animal services and the DARE program.
