AMERICAN FAMILY RECOVERY PROJECT    



Tri-Valley businesses are invited to attend an Employer Information Session to learn more about the American Family Recovery Project and how federal stimulus funds are available for local businesses. The objective of the Project is to use federal stimulus funding to get wage earners in the Tri-Valley back to work and to help Tri-Valley employers grow their businesses. Local implementation of the American Family Recovery Project is a collaboration of the Tri-Valley Community Foundation, the Pleasanton Weekly, the Tri-Valley Business Council, the Alameda County Social Services Agency, and Alameda County District 1 Supervisor, Scott Haggerty.

Project Outline
The American Family Recovery Project benefits employers by providing referrals of job candidates qualified for the Project and by subsidizing 80% of their wages and payroll taxes until September 30, 2010. There is no limit on the number of positions a company can fill through this program. 

Information Sessions
For the next several weeks, the Tri-Valley Business Council will be hosting weekly information sessions on the Project. You can learn more about this opportunity to grow your business at one of the scheduled sessions below. Reservations may be made by emailing Toby Brink, CEO of the Tri-Valley Business Council at tbrink@trivalley.org by noon of the Tuesday preceding your desired date of attendance. Information session dates and times are as follows:

Pleasanton
Wednesday, March 10, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Livermore
