The East Bay Regional Park District in collaboration with the Alameda County Transportation Commission, the cities of Dublin and Pleasanton, Zone 7 Water Agency and Caltrans has closed a major gap in the regional bicycle trail network between Pleasanton and Dublin with the Alamo Canal Trail Undercrossing. This greatly needed freeway undercrossing trail provides a safe, non-motorized route that children and adults can use to travel between schools, homes, and major public destinations in these communities.

Alamo Canal Trail Undercrossing Opening
The official ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the Alamo Canal Trail Undercrossing is being held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Attendees can meet at the northwest corner of the Dublin City Hall parking lot located at 100 Civic Plaza in Dublin. Light refreshments will be served at this celebration.

Measure BI Support Ride
Join the East Bay Bicycle Coalition in this celebration and stay for a ride. Immediately after the grand opening of the Alamo Canal Trail, the East Bay Bicycle Coalition is leading an advocacy ride in Pleasanton and Dublin to survey projects that the passage of Measure B1 can help fund. The ride will last approximately 2 hours and will be at an easy, relaxed pace. The East Bay Bicycle Coalition is a group promoting bicycling as an everyday means of transportation and recreation.
