You are invited to join the East Bay EDA members and partners at their upcoming East County Small Business Symposium on May 23rd. Small business owners and operators from start-ups to mature companies can connect with a wide range of experts who can help you manage and grow your small business. 

East County Small Business Symposium
The East County Small Business Symposium is being held on Wednesday, May 23rd at the Antioch Community Center located at 4703 Lone Tree Way in Antioch. The Symposium will begin at 7:30 with registration and will include a welcome by Jim Foley, Wells Fargo and an Overview of East County Economic Trends by Karen Engel, East Bay EDA's Executive Director. Supervisor Mary Nejedly Piepho will close the Symposium which will be followed by business-to-business networking. Breakout sessions at the Symposium will be based on business age and needs:
  • Startup Businesses (0-1 Years): Create a business plan, determine your legal structure, set up your business finances
  • Young Businesses (1-3 Years): Secure business funding, track cash flow, cover all details
  • Growth Businesses: Develop a plan to grow, secure additional financing, manges stresses of growth
  • Mature Businesses: Extend market share, develop your workforce, stay profitable and protected
Online registration is being accepted at: http://www.ebsmallbusiness.com/. This is the first of a series of East Bay Small Business Symposia that will be held in 4 locations throughout the East Bay in 2012: July 31st in Berkeley, September 6th or 18th in Danville and November 8th in Fremont.
