Several local veterans and military family support groups have come together to put on the first ever Tri-Valley Benefit Concert for Our Wounded on October 10th. The event is being put on through a collaboration of VFW Post 6298, American Legion Post 237, Valley Veterans Foundation and Pleasanton Military Families in conjunction with the Stand Up & Play Foundation. The Stand Up & Play Foundation is a national organization providing mobility devices to wounded troops as well as the disabled public.

Community Comes Together
The Concert for Our Wounded is being held on Thursday, October 10th at 7:30 pm at Wente Vineyards. The event will feature actor Joe Mantegna hosting the evening festivities with headline artist Kenny Loggins and American Idol finalist Lacey Brown. Several of our local wounded will be attending the event as well. The goal of Tri-Valley's Benefit Concert for Our Wounded is to raise community awareness about the needs of our local wounded troops and veterans and to provide financial assistance to those with needs resulting from their service related injuries.

The concert format will be similar to Wente's Summer Concert Series with three levels of seating, two of which are dinner seating options. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com or through concertforwounded.com or facebook.com/WoundedWarriorsConcert. All net proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to provide financial assistance to local seriously wounded troops from the Tri-Valley community.
