You are invited to join the East Bay Economic Development Alliance members at their upcoming Business Briefing & Networking session. Come learn about the new California business incentive, find out how health care reform will affect you and learn how you can access wage subsidies and training monies for your employees.

Increasing Your Bottom Line
The East Bay EDA's Business Briefing & Networking is being held on Friday, August 23rd from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the Pleasant Hill Senior Center, Chateau Hall located at 233 Gregory Lane in Pleasant Hill. With the recent passage of the SB90 and AB93, also known as the Governor’s Economic Development Initiative (GEDI), the Enterprise Zone program was replaced with three new tools for economic development in California. These tools include a targeted hiring credit, a sales and use tax exemption for manufacturing and R&D equipment purchases and a new flexible tax credit for business attraction and expansion called “California Competes.”

Special Speakers
Featured speaker, Kish Rajan from the Governor's Office of Business & Economic Development (GO-Biz) will provide an overview on the new tax credit and what comes next. Following Mr. Rajan's presentation, information on business reform and tax hiring incentives will be presented.

There is no cost to attend this event but registration is requested. Online registration is being accepted at: https://eastbayedabizbriefs1.eventbrite.com/.
