FIREMAN'S MUSTER "REUNION"
Museum on Main, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and LPFD Fire Fighter's Foundation present a Fireman's Muster "Reunion" in downtown Pleasanton on August 17th. The event is a benefit for the Museum on Main.
A Full Day of Events
The Fireman's Muster is being held in downtown Pleasanton on Saturday, August 17th. A full day of events are planned. The event kicks-off with an 8:00 am Fireman's Pancake Breakfast, donations accepted, followed by a day full of activities from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Activities include: bucket brigade competition, displays of antique and modern fire apparatus and equipment, motorized and hand fire apparatus pumping demonstrations, raffle and prizes, children's area and firefighting events. A BBQ lunch prepared by Tony Macchiano and The Lions Club will be available for purchase from noon to 4:30 pm. Admission to the muster is free and any funds raised will benefit the Museum on Main.
On Tuesday, August 13th the Firehouse Arts Center is hosting An Evening With Firefighters. Join past and present firefighters as they share their experience and memories through the years. The Museum on Main has a Courage Under Fire, Fighting Fire in Pleasanton Since 1880 exhibit on display. The exhibit celebrates the history of the Pleasanton and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Departments from its volunteer beginnings to present-day professionalism. The exhibit will be on display through October 12th at the Museum on Main.
