TRI-VALLEY HEROES AWARDS
The Pleasanton Weekly is accepting nominations for their annual Tri-Valley Heroes awards. Tri-Valley Heroes are community members dedicated to bettering the Tri-Valley and its residents.
Who is A Hero?
Tri-Valley Heroes will recognize individuals, groups, or organizations that stand out because of their actions, integrity, or honor. That hero could be a firefighter who rescues a child from a burning house, the girl who is courageously battling leukemia, the business that allows its employees to mentor teens for an hour a week, or the neighborhood group that cleans up a creek. The Pleasanton Weekly will honor eight groups or individuals this holiday season who have been selected as 2013 Tri-Valley Heroes. Two Heroes will be profiled each week for four weeks beginning November 22nd and concluding December 13th.
A call is currently out for nominations. If you know a person, organization, or group deserving of recognition, complete the online form at http://tinyurl.com/Tri-ValleyHeroes or answer the questions on the form in an email and submit it to the Pleasanton Weekly using the contact information below. The deadline for nominations is October 25th. Awards will be given in the following categories: Arts and Culture, Community Spirit, Courage, Environmental Stewardship, Innovation, Rising Star and Role Model. The Lifetime Achievement award will recognize an individual or group for contributions, leadership, enthusiasm, and tireless efforts on behalf of the community and neighbors.
