Help support a UC Berkeley SAGE (Student Achievement Guided by Experience) Scholars student gain knowledge in their field of study through a paid internship.  The SAGE Scholars Program was created in 1999 by the UC Office of the President to complement the UC Outreach Program. During 2000/01, the program was launched at UC Berkeley and UC Irvine, and will eventually expand to all UC campuses.  Details of the program and its participants are available by following this link: www.sagescholars.berkeley.edu.

About the Program
Through the SAGE Scholars Program, companies offer paid internships to talented and highly motivated UC Berkeley students related to their field of study.  Through these internships, companies provide invaluable real world business experience and training to students, as well as strong mentoring.  In addition, SAGE Scholars participate in Career Development coursework given by professionals in industry to enhance the SAGE Scholars business and leadership skills.  Corporate sponsors also contribute to a fund that covers educational costs for all interns. The program targets students with financial need who can greatly benefit from the program's unique combination of financial support, work experience and mentoring.
