IRON HORSE TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS IN HACIENDA
The East Bay Regional Park District will soon begin construction of the Iron Horse Trail extension. While activities have been scheduled to provide minimum disruption partial park closures and traffic delays may occur.
Schedule of Work
The Iron Horse Trail extension from Santa Rita Road to the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station in Hacienda is due to begin construction on May 20th and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2014. Construction on this project will occur in three phases to minimize the impact on the community and work will be performed between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Each of the three phases will be closed to public access until the trail is officially completed. Portions of Hacienda's Linear Park, Owens Plaza Park and Creekside Park will also be closed during construction. The phases of construction have been defined as follows: Phase I - Owens Drive to Hacienda Drive, Phase II - Hacienda Drive to Tassajara Creek (includes partial closure of Owens Plaza Park) and Phase III - Tassajara Creek to Santa Rita Road (includes partial closure of Creekside Park). Phase I construction will begin next week and subsequent phases will begin in July and August.
The Association would like to encourage added caution and safety in these areas while work is being conducted. Your assistance is requested in helping to alert people at your site about this project so that the greatest possible advance notification is provided.
