Robert Half International to Expand in Park

Staffing Company Leases an Additional 55,000 Square Feet on Hopyard

Robert Half International, a specialized staffing services firm, will expand their presence in Hacienda with the lease of the 55,000 square foot Britannia V building at 4385 Hopyard Road. The company already occupies 65,000 square feet at 5700 and 5720 Stoneridge Drive.

"RHI selected Hacienda for this expansion for several reasons," says Barbara Forsberg, vice president of finance. "The central location in Pleasanton has allowed us to attract a talented workforce from around the Bay Area. The park is also easily accessible to freeways and transportation."

A Variety of Functions

RHI consists of an umbrella corporation and six divisions which provide both temporary and permanent staffing services in accounting and finance, administration, information technology, and law.

The company's Hacienda locations serve as the Corporate Service Center. It houses a variety of departments, including accounting, human resources, information technology, and field office support. Currently, approximately 500 people are employed by RHI in the park, out of some 4,200 employees nationwide.

Similar functions will be carried out in the company's new facility, with human resources, field office support, and some accounting functions moving there.

"We will also continue to hire and expand at both locations," adds Forsberg.

A Pioneer in Personnel

RHI was founded in 1948 and was one of the first specialized staffing services. Today, the company celebrates its 50th anniversary with over 200 RHI locations in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

The company is growing dramatically. In 1997, RHI reported record revenues of $1.3 billion, a 45 percent increase over 1996, as well as record net income of $93.7 million, a 53 percent increase over 1996.

Their accomplishments have been recognized. In the fall of 1997, RHI was recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the 100 fastest-growing U.S. companies based on three-year sales and earnings growth.
