  • PictureTalk has launched a new web site devoted to web marketing tactics and strategies. The site features articles, guest columns, job listings, an on-line bookstore, and links to sites about advertising and other marketing topics. The new site will also host a seminar series focused on web marketing issues with presentations by industry experts.
  • Lazer-Tron has released an informational videotape about its new redemption/merchandising game Prize Zone. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of coin-operated arcade games, including games where tickets are awarded which may then be redeemed for prizes.
  • Lucent's Remote Access Business Unit attracted over 500 attendees in six cities to a series of seminars designed to present Internet service providers (ISPs) with information on how to use emerging technologies and how to grow their businesses.
  • SkillSet Software has entered into a marketing agreement with Infinium Software whereby SkillSet's products will be jointly marketed to Infinium's customer base. Additionally, both companies will co-develop an interface between the applications for seamless integration and information access.
  • Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation has awarded over $45,000 for projects in Pleasanton schools through their Documentum / PeopleSoft / Remedy / Vanstar Impact Grant program. A total of 18 projects received full or partial funding in amounts from $700 to $5,000.
  • The new Simplicity Spirometer from Nellcor Puritan Bennett, a device that measures lung capacity and performance, has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The product will begin shipping this month.
