  • In a deal between two Hacienda companies, MobileForce Technologies, Inc. and Intira Corporation announced a multi-year contract under which Intira will provide a variety of services for MobileForce, a leading provider of field service automation solutions. Intira's services, which the company calls "Netsourcing," will provide IT and network infrastructure and related resources to run, monitor, and manage the MobileForce NvisionASP. 
     
  • PeopleSoft has formed an alliance with Intuit Inc. that will enable employees of PeopleSoft clients to electronically import their W-2 tax information directly into Intuit's Quicken TurboTax via PeopleSoft MarketPlace, PeopleSoft's comprehensive business-to-business and business-to-employee Internet trading network. This gives users of PeopleSoft's ePay access to payroll information online and allows them to view payroll-related data and manage information such as direct deposits, voluntary deductions and payroll tax withholding. 
     
  • Mobileum has announced the availability of its first product, an innovative software platform designed to allow connectivity to a variety of wireless devices, including cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs). Mobileum's software platform allows companies to increase revenue, improve service and cut costs by customizing Internet content to make it accessible from the exploding number of mobile devices in the world.
  • The company also announced the completion of its Series A financing round allowing the company to secure $45 million from a combination of investors.
     
  • Remedy Corp. and eProcurement Solutions announced a partnership with M-Tech Mercury Information Technologies Inc. The partnership combines M-Tech's password management solution with Remedy's Action Request System, helping to reduce password-related help desk calls. Industry analysts report that up to 40 percent of all problem calls to a corporate service desk are password-related. IT departments that use P-Synch have reduced the password-related call volume by at least 85 percent.
     
  • Commerce One and Intel announced the formation of a three-year alliance to jointly test Commerce One's e-procurement and e-marketplace solutions to ensure that they are fine-tuned for deployment on current and future Intel platforms such as Intel's upcoming Itanium architecture. The agreement includes the formation of a joint engineering laboratory and marketing fund.
