New Route 70 WHEELS Service Hits the Road

WHEELS has just expanded its popular Route 70 service. The Prime Time Express Route 70 to Walnut Creek travels between Hacienda Business Park and the Dublin/Pleasanton and Walnut Creek BART stations. "Route 70 is an interregional commuter service that transports people who live in the Tri-Valley to the BART station around Pleasant Hill or Walnut Creek BART station and also brings people down from the Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill area into the Hacienda Business Park," says Rosemary Booth, marketing coordinator for WHEELS. The new expanded service now begins its route starting at the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station at 5:30 am, 6:25 am, and 7:22 am in the morning. In the evening, Route 70 starts leaves the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station at 3:35 pm, 4:35 pm, and 5:35 pm.

Through the Hacienda pass program, all Hacienda tenants and residents can use WHEELS services for free. WHEELS offers a premier transit service in the Tri-Valley and beyond. WHEELS buses run throughout the Tri-Valley area to several locations in Hacienda and, of course, the Route 70 I-680 express bus service. WHEELS buses also meet all incoming BART and ACE trains during the peak commute hours to shuttle Hacienda tenants and residents to their homes and businesses. During off-peak commute hours WHEELS DART service shuttles Hacienda tenants and residents to the BART station as well as other destinations on demand. The transit subsidy provided to Hacienda tenants and residents funds WHEELS passes which are provided to park tenants and residents free of charge. When park tenants or residents board a WHEELS bus, all they need to do is to show the driver their pass to be granted free access. Pass holders can also travel on any of the lines to other locations. The passes are valid as long as the holder is a tenant or resident of Hacienda.

WHEELS passes can be ordered by Hacienda tenants and residents online at www.hacienda.org/materials/materials_commute_pass.html for delivery within the park. Requests can also be phoned to (925) 734-6551. All passes must be sent to a valid address within Hacienda or to a valid address within one of the following Hacienda residential communities: Archstone, Avila, Siena, Valencia, or Verona. For more information about the Hacienda WHEELS subsidy, contact the Hacienda Owners Association at (925) 734-6500 or call the Hacienda transportation hotline at (925) 734-6551.
