Rudolph and Sletten is Creating a Legacy of Quality Building Technology

Rudolph and Sletten is completing tenant improvements to over 300,000
square feet of space in the park for State Compensation Insurance Fund.

For the past seven years, general contracting professionals from Rudolph and Sletten have occupied the firm’s Hacienda office at 5980 Stoneridge Drive, overseeing budgeting and contracts for a host of projects, including preparations for occupancy of three buildings on Owens Drive near the Dublin Pleasanton BART station. The structures were recently occupied by State Compensation Insurance Fund as part of the company’s relocation from San Francisco.

Rudolph and Sletten has had a hand in a number of other major projects in Hacienda, including Kaiser Permanente’s IT headquarters and the Sun Microsystems offices. Across the East Bay, it has worked with John Muir Hospital, Chiron, U.C. Berkeley and the Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, just to name a few. Centrally located in the Bay Area and accessible to Rudolph and Sletten’s facility in Stockton, the office in Hacienda provides a convenient place for company engineers to work while involved with projects in the area.

Shaped by 47 years as a family-owned company, Rudolph and Sletten became a wholly owned subsidiary of Perini Corporation in 2006-2007. The country’s fourth largest construction services company, its projects range from tenant improvement projects to corporate campuses and included a broad array of services: general contracting, preconstruction, site selection, design/build, and construction management.

A few of the firm’s newly-awarded contracts include UCSF’s Mission Bay Cardiovascular Research Institute, the University of San Diego’s Ernest and Jean Hahn Center Addition and Renovation and California Institute of Technology’s Warren & Katharine Schlinger Laboratory for Chemistry and Engineering in Pasadena.

Rudolph and Sletten is committed to sustainable construction, having completed numerous LEED-(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified projects. The company is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, with more than 125 LEED Accredited Professionals in-house, enabling it to provide valuable input regarding construction materials and efficient use of resources, saving clients’ money and reducing the impact of building projects on the environment. Last May, the U.S. Green Building Council awarded Rudolph and Sletten its Gold LEED CI (Commercial Interiors) certification for the buildout of its new 40,000 square foot Corporate Headquarters at the Pacific Shores Center in Redwood City.
