Overnight or Over a Week, Hacienda Hotels Offer a Hospitable Welcome to Travelers
Hacienda’s four hotels are a valued asset in an area that receives many business travelers. With their convenient locations, it is not unusual for an out-of-town executive to arrive from the airport via BART, walk to her hotel, and then stroll over to the company she is visiting—no car required.
At the junction of two major highways and the gateway to tourist sites from San Francisco to Livermore’s wine country, Hacienda’s hotels are also a jumping-off point for vacationing families, offering comfortable accommodations for both short and long term stays. With a total of more than 600 rooms, there is a place for anyone who needs to feel at home on the road.
Courtyard by Marriott Pleasanton
5059 Hopyard Road
The Pleasanton Marriott seeks to surround its visitors with comfort. The spacious guest rooms are furnished with two queen-sized beds, “more than enough room for two,” the hotel notes, and the vaunted Marriott luxury bedding provides even more pampering.
Every room has a work area with a well-lit oversized desk, an ergonomically designed desk chair, and free high-speed Internet access, allowing business travelers to work conveniently and efficiently.
Other in-room amenities include a loveseat or pull-out sofa, an electric coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board.
The Business Center offers a desktop computer with printer and complimentary high-speed Internet access, either plug-in or wireless. Guests can obtain fax and overnight delivery service at the front desk.
Whether it’s time to gear up or wind down after a busy day, the Marriott offers several options. The outdoor pool is a great way for travelers to get in some exercise, but it is also a fun place to relax. Indoors, there is a whirlpool for the kind of leisurely soak that melts away the tension of the day. The state-of-the-art fitness center features a broad range of cardiovascular equipment and free weights. Extended hours allow time-challenged guests to squeeze in a workout and keep up with their normal routine while on the road.
The hotel’s Courtyard Café is open for breakfast, with a buffet featuring made-to-order eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, and fresh waffles, and lighter fare like cereal, bagels, yogurt, and fresh fruits. A 24-hour market offers beverages and snacks around the clock.

Extended Stay Deluxe

Extended Stay Deluxe is designed for travelers who want larger, upscale accommodations and upgraded amenities, typically during a longer-term stay. The stylish, oversized suites and studios create a home-like setting with features that range from queen-sized beds with pillow-top mattresses and premium cable television with movie channels to kitchens equipped with refrigerator/freezer, microwave and coffee maker, oven and stovetop, and dining and cooking utensils.
In-room wireless Internet access is available for a nominal charge per stay. The hotel’s 112 suites also offer unlimited local phone use and personalized voicemail, DVD players, MP3-ready alarm clocks, iron and ironing board, remote network printing, and a gourmet coffee bar with premium coffees and a selection of fresh fruit, bagels, and cream cheese. Housekeeping is scheduled weekly, with an optional daily refresh service.
The hotel chain is also known for its pet-friendly policies. After booking online, guests are advised to call the property directly to add a pet to their reservation. A non-refundable fee is required and some restrictions apply.
The Pleasanton facility includes an outdoor pool for swimming or lounging, along with a covered patio complete with barbecue grill, tables and chairs. Guests can also take advantage of the on-site fitness center and 24-hour laundry.
With its emphasis on providing temporary housing, nightly room rates go down the longer the stay. A Kids Stay Free program and weekend discounts also bring prices down.
Four Points by Sheraton Pleasanton

The garden courtyard is a riot of color, and the Olympic-size heated outdoor pool beckons visitors from their balcony or patio. A whirlpool and a well-equipped fitness facility are also on site.
“Corporate travel is our specialty; it's what we're all about,” the hotel contents. Its welcoming, clean, boutique-style accommodations, accessible location, and friendly service substantiate the claim.
