NEW POWER CONSERVATION PROGRAM
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will be switching all of their customers from a flat rate billing structure to a mandatory Time-of-Use rate on November 1st followed by peak day pricing in 2014. Under these rate changes, the timing of when you use electricity will become just as important as the amount used.
Energy Optimization Service
SF Power, as a mission-driven nonprofit helping small and medium sized businesses save money and energy, is committed to helping you successfully operate in this new energy landscape. They have partnered with a company, Stem (www.stem.com), who offers an Energy Optimization Service that can directly help customers manage emerging rate changes. Stem is in the final stages of developing a smart battery storage technology combined with data analytics that charges batteries off-peak when electricity rates are cheap, for access during peak times when rates spike.
SF Power believes that Stem’s service will be a vital resource in the new rate plan paradigm and they are inviting your facility to be among the first to pilot this new environmentally friendly and money-saving technology. By sharing your facility’s energy use patterns with SF Power, you can find out if your facility would benefit from this service. Your information will be kept secure and confidential and there is no cost to you. If you would like to find out if your facility is a good candidate for money and energy saving battery storage technology, simply contact the representative at San Francisco Community Power using the contact information below.
