511 Rideshare invites you to their upcoming workshop How Alternative Transportation Can Help "Existing Building" Owners Achieve LEED Certification on July 10th. 511 works with thousands of Bay Area employers by offering free commute assistance and information on alternatives to driving alone.

Learn About LEED Certification for Existing Buildings
LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally recognized mark of excellence and provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. LEED for Existing Buildings, one of many LEED certifications, allows existing properties to distinguish themselves as having met a standard of environmental excellence. One of the components of LEED for Existing Building certification is alternative transportation. Carpools, vanpools and other related efforts can count for up to 15 of the necessary 40 points for becoming LEED Certified.
