Hacienda Security Program Offers 24/7
Services for Park Tenants, Residents
Among the many services offered to park tenants and residents by the Hacienda Owners Association is the Hacienda Security program, which puts security officers in the park 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The main purpose of the Hacienda security force, now provided by Guardsmark, is to help deter crime by being highly visible. Routine security duties maximize visibility through a combination of stationary and mobile patrols covering the entire park. Hacienda Security is available to respond to a variety of security concerns ranging from nuisance issues to property management. Officers will respond to investigate a reported problem and then report their findings to the requestor or take appropriate follow-up action. Reaching a security officer via telephone or e-mail is easy. Simply call the Security Hotline number, (925) 734-6520, and leave a message when prompted. A security officer is paged and will return your call within a few minutes. To e-mail Hacienda Security, simply send your message to security@hacienda.org . Those needing immediate response should be sure to contact Hacienda Security by phone as the e-mail account is only monitored during business hours. Hacienda Security also offers a free supplemental security program to all Hacienda tenants for extra security services. A special auxiliary patrol is available to check the exterior doors of each enrolled site once every night between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. In addition to the door checks, enrollees also receive two building perimeter observations. If either of these checks reveal anything out of the ordinary, the security officers then follow customized instructions which are developed by each project. Under this program, special assignments may be given to the supplemental security patrol such as verifying that specific entries are secure at specific times or monitoring the status of alarm systems, thus helping tailor the program to meet any site specific needs. Hacienda also offers a number of materials that have been collected on various security and safety needs, ranging from office security surveys to earthquake preparedness. These materials are available to any park tenant or employee and may be ordered online or via telephone. To order materials by phone, call the security bulletin board at (925) 734-6552. You can also download a .pdf version of the park’s Emergency Procedures Manual by accessing the Hacienda web site at www.hacienda.org, then choosing “Services” from the main menu and then “Security Services” and “Assistance” from the drop-down menus.
