Oakland Arena Offers Hacienda Discounts for Family Fun

Thanks to a new program from the Oakland Arena, Hacienda tenants and residents can now receive discounts of up to $15 per ticket to family events like Disney on Ice, Arenacross, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and more.

Right now, this discount can be applied to three upcoming events: the thrilling dirt-bike motorcycle racing of Arenacross; the “monsterrific” fun of the Disney On Ice production of Monsters, Inc.; and the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Arenacross will be coming to the Arena the weekend of March 4-6, with professional riders taking the track on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 (reserved seating applies) while the amateurs take over on Sunday, March 6, at noon (general admittance). Each day will feature two different races, a “Dash for Cash” race, and the Finish Extreme Jump Off Contest, where riders and their bikes will go airborne in a quest for glory. Hacienda’s ticket discounts will allow adults to pay just $10.50 per ticket, a discount of $6.50, with children’s tickets available for $8.50.

Next on the schedule is Monster’s Inc., the latest show from Disney On Ice. Enjoy the adventures of Sulley, Mike and their new friend Boo as they re-energize Monstropolis with mega-watt laughter, live at the Oakland Arena Wednesday, March 9 through Sunday, March 13, 2005. Hacienda tenants and residents can purchase discount tickets to any one of nine different performances, saving as much as $3.00 to $12.75 per ticket for select shows. Orders must be submitted no later than Wednesday, February 23 and seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so act soon for the best seats.

Also coming up is the majestic Mormon Tabernacle Choir, who will be performing Tuesday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. The 360 members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir represent men and women from many different backgrounds and professions and range in age from 25 to 60. They reflect a medley of unique lives and experiences and are brought together by their love for singing and their faith. The Choir has appeared at 13 of the world's fairs and expositions, performed at the inaugurations of five U.S. presidents, and sung for numerous worldwide telecasts and special events. Hacienda tickets are available for $22.50 ($5 off), $42.50 ($10 off), and $62.50 ($15 off).

Ordering your discount tickets is easy. Access the Hacienda web site at www.hacienda.org and then choose “Services,” “Special Offers,” and “Current Offers” from the drop-down menu. From that page, choose “Oakland Arena” from the “Select an Offer” menu and you’ll find the necessary form to fill out for your order. Fax that to the Oakland Arena’s Premium Seating Sales Department at (510) 569-2253. You can also have the forms e-mailed to you by sending a request to premiumseating@coliseum.com. Keep an eye on the Hacienda web site for news of additional shows like Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, the Harlem Globetrotters, and other special performances.
