- Hacienda’s
Shaklee Corporation, the leading U.S. natural nutrition company, has
launched Shaklee China, opening the Shaklee China headquarters last
month in Beijing. Shaklee is one of several U.S. companies to have
successfully been granted a Direct Selling license in China but the
only company with a license that had not operated a business in China
before.
“The launch of Shaklee
China represents an incredible next step in the process of expanding
Shaklee around the world,” says Shaklee chairman and CEO Roger Barnett.

lifestyle of many, many people, as well as the planet, through this
expansion, and are delighted to welcome China to the growing Shaklee
family.” - TRIA Beauty, a company headquartered in Hacienda,
has reached a distribution deal with QVC, a $7 billion multimedia
retailer which reaches more than 166 million cable and satellite homes
worldwide. The TRIA Personal Laser Hair Removal System is the first
hand-held laser for at-home hair removal cleared by the FDA and
available for sale directly to consumers in the U.S.

System to consumers nationwide,” says Kevin Appelbaum, CEO of TRIA
Beauty. “The expansion to mainstream distribution is a clear sign that
the home device market has matured. TRIA Beauty is poised as the leader
in the space.” - Verizon Wireless collected a total of 1.13
million old and no-longer-used wireless phones in 2008 through its
HopeLine phone recycling and reuse program. The donations enabled the
HopeLine program, which supports domestic violence prevention and
awareness programs nationwide, to award more than $1.5 million in cash
grants, generated by the sale of refurbished phones, to nearly 350
domestic violence agencies and organizations.
