WHEELS SERVICE CHANGES




The Livermore/Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), operator of Wheels, is instituting a service change effective August 23, 2010. A few changes to routes and schedules will be occurring throughout the bus system.

Route Modifications
A summary of changes follows. Affected passengers are encouraged to contact Wheels Customer Service at (925) 455-7500 for alternate route suggestions.

Service Modification

• Route 1C  Service will be discontinued. Riders can now board Route 12 which has been extended along Dublin Boulevard to provide service between Tassajara Road and Fallon Road. 
• Route 55   Service will be discontinued. Passengers who need to access the Veteran's Hospital may contact Dial-A-Ride at (925) 455-7510 to schedule a trip. Passengers to the Veteran's Hospital do not need to be ADA certified. 

Free WHEELS Pass
Hacienda employees and residents are eligible for free Wheels ECO passes. In order to qualify for a pass, you need to be either an employee within Hacienda or a resident within one of the following Hacienda residential communities: Archstone, Avila, Siena or Verona. Bus passes entitle the bearer to free rides on all Wheels lines. Wheels buses connect the Tri-Valley area to locations throughout Hacienda. Wheels buses also meet each incoming ACE and BART train during the peak commute hours to shuttle Hacienda employees to their businesses and residents to the respective stations. The Wheels 70X I-680 express bus provides a direct link for people commuting between Hacienda and the Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek area.  Passes may be ordered at:  www.hacienda.org/services/services_commute_pass.html.
