Join the Tri-Valley Times for their 2012 Book Buck$ Family Reading Program. This award-winning family newspaper literacy program gets kids into a daily reading habit while rewarding them with Book Buck$ at the end of the week.

Book Buck$ News Splash
From March 5-9, 2012 reading will pay off for children participating in the 2012 Book Buck$ News Splash. This year over 40,000 local students, family members and educators will immerse themselves in the sea of knowledge found in the daily newspaper. Participants will navigate their world, learning how to think and swim while plunging into the Times. At the end of the week, all young participants will be rewarded with Book Buck$ they can spend thanks to the generosity of local merchants and benefactors.

There are two ways Hacienda affiliates can participate in this award-winning program. Sponsorships are welcome to help bring the program to local schools or you can donate a prize for the participants to "buy" with their Buck$.
