The California Competes Tax Credit Program has approximately $243 million in tax credits available during the 2016 -2017 fiscal year for businesses that want to expand in or relocate to California. GO-Biz is hosting a special informational webinar on the California Competes Tax Credit Program. The webinar will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 10am - 11am PDT. The webinar and the program are free and available to businesses of all sizes throughout the state. CA Competes Tax Credit Information
The California Competes Tax Credit is an income tax credit available to businesses who want to come, stay, or grow in California. Tax credit agreements are negotiated by GO-Biz and approved by a statutorily created “California Competes Tax Credit Committee,” consisting of the State Treasurer, the Director of the Department of Finance, the Director of GO-Biz, and one appointee each by the Speaker of the Assembly and Senate Committee on Rules. GO-Biz will accept applications for $68.3 million in tax credits between March 6th and March 27th. Instructions and FAQ information can be found at: www.business.ca.gov/calcompetes.aspx.
