  • Dutra Realty Enterprises has launched a New Home division to work with home builders and developers. "It's a cost-effective solution for smaller builders who may not have the resources, the staff, or the expertise to worry about the sales end," says Dutra's Eric Eng, who oversees the division with Tony Dutra. "This gives them the ability to concentrate their efforts on what they do best, building homes, while someone who specializes in home sales can focus on finding buyers."
  • Robert Half International reported record revenues and earnings for the second quarter ended June 30, 1998. Net income was $32,280,000 or $.34 per share on revenues of $442,153,000. The second quarter of 1997 showed earnings of $22,210,000 or $.24 per share on revenues of $311,622,000.
  • Three Hacienda credit unions were cited in the East Bay Business Journal's list of the largest credit unions headquartered in the area. Ranked by assets, the organizations appearing were First United Services Credit Union, third largest, SafeAmerica Federal Credit Union, sixth largest, and EBTEL Federal Credit Union, tenth largest.
  • Individual Software has launched a new program, Create Screen Savers Quick & Easy, that enables users to construct screen savers for home or office computers using either custom sound, graphics, and video, or a variety of samples that are included in the package. The programs runs on Windows-compatible PCs.
  • Infonautics, Inc. has been chosen by the Dallas Morning News to build and manage the newspaper's online archive. The new site provides paid access to more than 830,000 articles from both The Dallas Morning News and the Arlington Morning News, including news and feature stories dating back to 1984.
