Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists Brings Headquarters to Hacienda

Medical Center to Feature Offices, Physical Therapy and Out-Patient Surgery

On October 1, 2007, Hacienda will welcome Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists, Inc. (TVO), as it opens the doors to its new "medical center" at 4626 Willow Road. The opening represents a longstanding goal of this highly-respected medical group to provide a fully-integrated medical facility in the Tri-Valley.

The two story, 32,000 square foot facility, located at the corner of Willow Road and Stoneridge Drive, has been completely remodeled to accommodate Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists' medical offices, occupational and physical therapy departments. In March 2008, their state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center will open on the same site.

"We have a strong desire to maintain our long-standing presence and commitment to the Tri-Valley area and we're happy that the unique space we were looking for was available in Hacienda," says Chief Operating Officer, Mari Cyphers. "The second floor alone nearly doubles our previous space in Pleasanton and the first floor space enables us to provide a much needed surgery center for the community. The additional administrative space will allow us to more effectively manage our other offices located in San Ramon, Livermore and Tracy. With easy access to the 580/680 freeway junction and our close proximity to BART, it's a perfect location."

Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists, Inc. (TVO) was founded in 1985 by Dr. Robert Malstrom, a former Navy physician and a musculoskeletal specialist. As his practice grew, he was joined by other highly qualified physicians, each with a particular area of expertise. Currently, eight Board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians specialize in the area of shoulder, hand, knee and foot problems, joint replacement surgery as well as sports medicine injuries for athletes of all ages.

"With our 'centers of excellence' approach, patients can be assured of being treated promptly and professionally by a physician who is a recognized expert in a particular orthopedic specialty. Our goal is to continue providing a full range of orthopedic services using the most up-to-date technologies and procedures. I think our patients will enjoy the convenience and quality of our new medical facility," says Malstrom.

With the new medical facility, Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists will continue providing in-office diagnostic MRI scans, physical therapy, occupational therapy and x-ray services. Each physician works with a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) who coordinates every level of patients' care, such as scheduling procedures and diagnostic testing, coordination of medical insurance authorizations, prescriptions refills and patient education. TVO also maintains a high-quality, in-office staff which provides professional assistance in all areas of the orthopedic practice.
