Fit Style Brings Personal Touch to Fitness Training, Classes

Experts Provide Custom-Tailored Programs to Each Client

With the arrival of a new year and the resolutions that go with it, people all around the Tri-Valley are promising themselves that this is the year that they get in shape. Those interested in having personalized assistance in making a commitment to their ongoing fitness are just the people that Fit Style, a new Hacienda business, is seeking.

"We cater to the long-term clients that are willing to invest themselves in their own fitness and willing to put the time and effort into seeing changes and getting results," says Jenn Longsworth, Fit Style's owner. "We've got clients who have been with us over five years, and most of them have been with us for at least a year. It's the long-term people that want to make lifestyle changes - completely change their habits and make lasting results. It's not a quick fix."

Fortunately, Longsworth and her staff provide plenty of support for their clients. Fit Style provides custom-tailored programs that take into account each person's health and goals.

"It's not a cookie-cutter program. Most places that you go into, the establishment just does one program and everybody has to fit into that particular program," Longsworth says. "We are completely custom tailored, for every person. Everything is completely personalized and customized. You get faster and better results because it's a highly personalized experience, with a lot of focused attention, and the class sizes are really small, too, to fit with that personalized experience."

Fit Style offers a variety of classes including kickboxing, Zumba, yoga, and boot camp. "We also have a 30-minute circuit training that I call lunch rush, in the middle of the day, which is kind of like a 30-minute boot camp," adds Longsworth.

A full spectrum of exercise equipment is also featured. "We've got high-end, commercial gym equipment - full cable systems like squat racks, plus a full rack of dumbbells," she says. "It's got everything a commercial gym does, just in a private studio setting."

New clients are invited to explore Fit Style at no cost. "We give everyone a free one-hour assessment session, so anyone who is interested in personal training gets a free one-hour session with a trainer. That is a movement assessment, a cardio assessment, and then talking about goals," Longsworth says. "The trainer will talk to them about everything - they'll figure out where the client is starting from, where they're trying to go, and what it's going to take to get them there. That's free for everyone and there's no obligation to that. Everybody gets that. We also offer your first class free, so anyone who wants to try one of our classes can do that for free, and again there's no obligation. You can just come in and try it."

The idea, she says, is that "we want people to enjoy being here - the atmosphere that we've created people really like. The studio is set up to be very luxurious but still be a gym. There are never going to be any crowds - it's that personalized, unique, individualized place that people go. That's why we invite people to come in and try it, because the place and the service works for itself."
