The American Diabetes Association invites you to Step Out with them. Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes takes place nationwide to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against diabetes. This event has been held for over 20 years and is the signature fundraising walk for the American Diabetes Association. The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
Join fellow Hacienda tenant, Walgreens, to learn about Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. The American Diabetes Association invites you to join them for lunch on Tuesday, June 26th at the Walgreens District Headquarters located at 4234 Hacienda Drive, Suite 150 in Hacienda to lay the groundwork for this years walk. The event begins at 11:45 am and will include networking opportunities with other local leaders, refreshments and above all an inspirational presentation on how your company can cut health care costs by promoting healthy lifestyles among your employees and their families. The Oakland Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is being held at Lake Merritt on October 13th with other Step Out events scheduled for San Jose and San Francisco. There are many ways to participate in the Step Out events; you can: form a team of two or more people to walk, volunteer your services, join an existing team, start a new team, sponsor a walker or make a donation.
