  • IntegenX Inc.

    IntegenX Inc. has completed developmental validation for the RapidHIT System, the first fully automated, fully integrated rapid human DNA identification system. This step marks a key milestone necessary for the full commercialization of DNA technologies for the purposes of human identification in forensics, law enforcement, and similar applications. The IntegenX RapidHIT System fully automates and integrates all steps necessary to generate a DNA profile in approximately 90 minutes.

  • Clarity Medical Systems

    Clarity Medical Systems, based in Hacienda, has been awarded two patents related to technology in the company's latest offering, HOLOS IntraOp, a device for refractive cataract surgery. The first patent, number 8454162, regards the capture and display of high-accuracy continuous streaming, real-time refractive wavefront measurements during vision correction procedures, including overlaying data on a live image of the patient's eye.

    "We believe this unique capability will provide the opportunity to deploy HOLOS to help ophthalmologists more rapidly and efficiently measure the patient's refractive state during vision correction procedures, including assisting surgeons as a refractive guidance tool intraoperatively," said Clarity president and CEO Keith Mullowney.

    The second patent, number 8506083, details the attachment of the compact HOLOS wavefront sensor onto a surgical microscope.

    Hacienda's Ellie Mae has been named to Software Magazine's 2013 Software 500 list of the world's largest software and service providers. The Software 500, now in its 31st year, is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2012, including revenue from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting.
