Local tutoring and test prep provider Huntington Learning Center has been a staple in education for decades, providing support in phonics, reading, writing, math and study skills.

The Pleasanton center also offers ACT, SAT, PSAT and high-school entrance exam preparation.

For almost 50 years, Huntington – a franchise of educational learning centers – has helped students build strong academic skills, confidence and motivation through proven, individualized instruction.

The approach at Huntington Learning Center, according to Sethi, is to start by understanding where a student is academically, identifying strengths and areas that need attention and developing a learning plan around those needs.

The center’s top goal is to strengthen foundational skills, close learning gaps, improve academic confidence and help students become more independent learners.

“We continue to see strong demand from families looking for individualized academic support, particularly in foundational reading, writing and math skills,” Sethi said. “In many cases, students may appear to be struggling with a current grade-level concept when the underlying issue is a gap in an earlier skill. Identifying and addressing those foundational gaps can make a significant difference with long-term academic success.”

Educators at Huntington aim to break the cycle for students who repeatedly struggle with a subject and begin to find their academic confidence waning as a result.

“We also encourage parents to seek support early. Addressing a learning gap when it first becomes apparent is generally much easier than waiting until the gap has compounded over several grade levels,” Sethi said.

In addition to its regular offerings, Huntington also often has back-to-school and holiday specials, as well as discounted assessment fees. The center currently offers flexible scheduling, including early afternoon and late evening hours, as well asSaturday availability. “At Huntington Learning Center of Pleasanton, our goal is to help every student build the skills, confidence, and motivation they need to succeed—not just in their next test or school year, but throughout their academic journey.
