  • SkillSet Software, Inc., is expanding the distribution of its HR product line to the United Kingdom and Europe through a partnership with Total Computer Systems, a UK-based firm. SkillSet's first two customers in the UK are a leading financial institution and a major consulting firm. 
     
  • Documentum and IBM have initiated a software remarketing agreement and an expanded marketing alliance. The agreement enables IBM to remarket the Documentum Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS) on a global basis. In addition, IBM is to create industry-specific products, IBM EDMSolutions, for the Documentum platform. 
     
  • The East Bay Business Journal has placed PeopleSoft at the top of its list of the largest publicly traded companies in the East Bay. As of March 25, the company's market capitalization was $10.9 billion, $1.9 billion more than second place Safeway.
     
  • Oil Changer Inc. and DentPro Franchise Corp. have formed a strategic alliance in which the two companies will offer paintless small dent repair at the Dublin Oil Changer location. Customers will be offered the convenience of a quick oil change and while-you-wait small dent repair in one location.
     
  • Remedy Corporation's Help Desk software was awarded "Editor's Choice" and "Usability Seal of Approval" awards from PC Magazine in a head-to-head comparison with three competing products. 
     
  • Dave Brady, 42, has joined ObjectStream, Inc., as director of business development. Brady brings 16 years of experience in the telecommunications and enterprise software industries to the networking software company.
     
  • Liz Culp has joined EBTEL Federal Credit Union as vice president of marketing. Culp was a co-founder of Zebra Head Design.
