PLEASANTON, Calif. — Activity has held at a good pace through the first four months of the year. Several significant new leases have been signed and additional new tenant announcements are forthcoming. Existing companies at Hacienda have been moving forward on many fronts supported by the development's first rate amenities and services.

"We are seeing continued activity in Hacienda and the establishment of some significant new tenancy." says James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "In addition, several major projects that began, in some cases over a year ago, are now completed and tenants are settling into their new Hacienda home. We are expecting to be able to make further announcements about new tenants in the next few weeks."

Here is a summary of just some of what has gone on in Northern California's largest mixed-use development in the past three months:

Axis Community Health Opens Hacienda Clinic

Axis Community Health has opened its new Hacienda clinic at 5925 W. Las Positas Boulevard. The new facility, which broke ground in October, 2014, will meet the growing need for health care services for low-income and uninsured families. The new 24,000 sq. ft. health center doubles Axis's service capacity for primary health care and mental health. Construction involved a complete interior renovation of the existing structure, creating 27 exam rooms and 7 counseling rooms.

Axis Community Health began in 1972 as a health center for low-income children in eastern Alameda County who had no other access to health care. Over the past thirty years, Axis has grown to provide medical care for all ages, also adding mental health counseling services, addiction recovery programs, court-ordered programs, a WIC nutrition program and school and community-based health education services. Axis now offers services from five sites in the Tri-Valley area and serves more than 14,000 members of the community.

Ellie Mae Launches New Release of Encompass Mortgage Management Solution

Roche receives FDA approval for HIV-1 viral load test

Hacienda's Roche Molecular Diagnostics has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for an HIV-1 viral load test for use on the company's cobas molecular testing systems. The new test is part of the next generation of Roche viral load tests, which clinicians use to manage the disease and treatment of patients infected with HIV-1.

"The cobas HIV-1 test is based on Roche's unique dual-target technology to simultaneously amplify and detect two separate regions of the HIV-1 genome, which are not subject to selective drug pressure," said Paul Brown, head of Roche Molecular Diagnostics. "The addition of this test on the fully automated cobas 6800/8800 systems provides laboratories with a comprehensive virology menu to support physicians in making informed treatment decisions for HIV-1 patients undergoing antiretroviral therapy."
