PLEASANTON, Calif. — Continuing an uptrend that started over one year ago, Hacienda has seen increased leasing activity through all four quarters of 2012. Park tenants have also achieved significant milestones in recent months as they have experienced continued growth by bringing innovative products and services to market.
"Hacienda has seen significant growth in 2012 and we are optimistic that it will continue into the new year," says James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "We are also pleased to see so many of our tenants succeeding in ways which will affect not only the local and regional economies but also global markets."
Here's a summary of just some of what has gone on in Northern California's largest mixed-use development in the past three months:
After just a year and a half in Hacienda, ServiceMax has moved into new offices that, at 17,450 square feet, are twice the size of its previous headquarters. The move provides plenty of growing room for the innovator in cloud-based field service management, which is used by companies around the world that deploy service technicians to maintain and repair an enormous range of devices, from coffee machines to sophisticated medical imaging systems
Over the past year ServiceMax has added about 20 new hires to its Pleasanton staff, reaching a current total of 45. The previous suite was not completely full, but the company foresaw the need for additional space and made the move in early September. "Once you are at capacity, a move takes longer, so instead of waiting to be cramped, we decided to be proactive," Frank remarks. The new space is "bigger and brighter, with beautiful views of Mount Diablo" - and it can accommodate up to 150 people. The company also has an expanding international footprint. The recent signing of a customer in South Africa gives it a presence on every inhabited continent. The Hacienda-based company also has offices in London and Bangalore. IntegenX Inc. introduced its RapidHIT 200 Human DNA Identification System, the first commercially-available rapid DNA device, to the U.S. market. Rapid DNA analysis is a transformative technology that promises to fundamentally change the way investigations are conducted by enabling law enforcement personnel to quickly and definitively link a suspect's DNA to a crime scene, or eliminate suspicion, all while the suspect is still in police custody.
The RapidHIT 200 System provides actionable intelligence by automating and accelerating the process of producing standardized DNA profiles from cheek swabs in about 90 minutes. This is compared to a process that currently takes up to eight instruments and at least a day in a specialized lab, with results typically returned to police in weeks to months.

A new, 17,000-square-foot Club One fitness facility is scheduled to open in Hacienda in late December. The Pleasanton location will exemplify Club One's lifestyle club concept, which incorporates a strong focus on professionally led group work-outs, in addition to more traditional fitness training. To that end, the Hacienda facility will offer an ample schedule of classes typically available only at high-end boutique studios, such as barre classes, which utilize the ballet barre to enhance strength and flexibility; and Pilates reformer classes, which make more efficient use of the reformer to maximize its fitness potential. The facility will also feature an indoor spin-cycling studio where instructors will lead students through an assortment of invigorating trail and road rides filmed on location around the world and projected on a high-definition, forward-motion video screen, the first of its kind in the East Bay.
