PLEASANTON, Calif. — As the year concludes, there have been few changes in tenancy during the fourth quarter of the year. Much of the anticipated rebound in activity that was expected earlier this year has not materialized owing to a number of conditions; not the least of which have been the new expressions of the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on business operations. Net occupancy has held fairly constant over the last quarter with only a few tenths of a percent difference in vacancy from the last. Over 160,000 square feet of transactions have occurred to date since January 1 in Hacienda. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.

“A sturdier resumption of leasing and occupancy has yet to occur as 2021 comes to a close. While continued interest is expressed in the various product types found at Hacienda, completed transactions are still not at the level hoped for earlier this year" noted James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "Continued uncertainty about how the pandemic will affect business operations is certainly informing what activity does occur. On a more positive note, Hacienda is seeing a good level of new investment happening over the last several months which signals not only confidence in the types of space Hacienda has to offer but also the prospect of greater tenant activity in the future."
