PLEASANTON, Calif. — While new tenant activity has been stalled, there are significant signs of business levels increasing as the economy begins the process of re-opening in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. With anticipation mounting that the state's proposed relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions on June 15th will mean that business life can start to return to normal, tenant transactions delayed by the pandemic and response measures appear to be on the increase. Around 37,000 square feet of transactions have occurred to date since January 1 in Hacienda. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.

“Hacienda's tenant cycle is still working through the disruption caused by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in delays in the normal course of new activity that would have been seen over the last several months. However, there are increasing signs of the market returning to a more normal state as stalled transactions resume and new interest starts to emerge” noted James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "There has been a decided increase in interest in Hacienda sites from prospective tenants over the last few months. In addition, two large investment sales have recently completed. We see these as very positive signs and are watching for continued improvement over the next several months.”
