PLEASANTON, Calif. — The summer has produced few significant changes in tenancy during the third quarter of the year. While continued discussions of interest are expressed, the movement to final occupancy has slowed even for tenants who have been investigating these options for some time. As a result, net occupancy has remained virtually unchanged for the last three months. Close to 105,000 square feet of transactions have occurred to date since January 1 in Hacienda. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.
“The summer months have seen a slight stall in Hacienda's tenant activity which is not unusual for this time of the year. This follows on a good surge of new tenants that arrived toward the end of the second quarter” noted James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "The good news is that there is still forward momentum on both new tenant and investment activity. Although the arrival of the Covid-19 Delta variant creates an added complication and may slow the return of people to the office, there are still indications that there will be continued completion of both leases and sales in the coming months.”
