Retail Centers     Hacienda has more than seventy-five individual retail businesses, including Walmart, Kohl’s and Party City. Four centers, Hacienda Plaza, Gateway Square, Crossroads Center and Metro 580, combine for over 500,000 square feet of shops, convenience stores, restaurants and services. In addition to the great services available within Hacienda, Pleasanton is home to the Stoneridge Mall, a regional facility featuring anchor tenants such as Nordstrom, Macy's and Sears. Just a few minutes outside of Pleasanton are the San Francisco Premium Outlets, a high end international shopping destination with 170 stores and restaurants, including Armani, Burberry, Gucci and Prada. Also nearby is Pacific Pearl, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2017 and anchored by Marina Food Grocery Store, Tilted Kitchen Restaurant and an international food court. At the northeast corner of Hacienda is Rose Pavilion with brands that include Macy's Furniture Store, Golfsmith, 99 Ranch and Fitness 19. Other retail centers are conveniently located near the southeast and southwest borders. To round out the selection, Downtown Pleasanton is less than 10 minutes from Hacienda and features a diverse array of specialty retailers.

Dining     Popular local restaurants in Hacienda include Faz, Eddie Papa's, Red Robin, Sweet Tomatoes and Chili's. Also located conveniently throughout Hacienda are more than 30 delis, coffee shops and specialty dining opportunities. Less than 10 minutes away, Downtown Pleasanton features a number of fine restaurants amidst historic buildings and a rustic setting emblematic of Pleasanton's charm and character. Pleasanton also serves as the gateway to the oldest wine region in California, the Livermore Valley. Wine lovers can enjoy more than 50 wineries that range from big producers like Wente Vineyards to smaller, boutique wineries.

Accommodations     Hotel accommodations are plentiful at Hacienda. A 216-room Sheraton Four Points and 145-room Courtyard by Marriott are located on-site. Hacienda also offers two extended stay facilities: a 128-room Hyatt house and a 113-room Extended Stay Deluxe Pleasanton. Other options include a Hilton, Wyndham Garden Hotel and Holiday Inn, providing over 1,200 rooms within a mile of Hacienda.

Recreation     Pleasanton's parks and recreation facilities are also rarely matched, and with Pleasanton's temperate climate — a mean daily minimum temperature of 42 degrees and a mean daily maximum of 73 degrees — there are plenty of opportunities to use them. Recreational facilities available inside Hacienda include Creekside Park, with a 6.6 acre open lawn for activities such as soccer and softball. The park also features basketball, volleyball, picnic area and playground. Also within Hacienda is Linear Park, 2.85 acres with basketball, tennis, open lawn, picnic area and playground, and Owens Park Plaza, 3 acres with picnic area and playground. Coming soon is Harding Park, which is under construction. Iron Horse Regional Trail runs through Hacienda. The 32-mile trail connects the Hacienda BART station to Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton. For runners, Hacienda has a 2.3-mile, 18-station outdoor parcourse. Located in Hacienda are 24-Hour Fitness along with other smaller specialty clubs. Northern California’s largest health club, Club Sport-Pleasanton is only a mile away. Nearby is the 105-acre Pleasanton Sports & Recreation Park, featuring batting cages, skateboard track, youth play area and fields for baseball, basketball, football and soccer. The Pleasanton Tennis and Community Park, just blocks away from Hacienda, has ten tennis courts for public use. The city is also home to the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center, with four pools featuring recreational and competitive swimming and diving. Pleasanton has thousands of acres of parks, ranging from small neighborhood playgrounds to the 3,163-acre Pleasanton Ridge Park and its miles of multipurpose trails. Also located in Pleasanton is Shadow Cliffs, a former gravel quarry converted into a 296-acre park with an 80-acre lake, and the County Fairgrounds, which hosts the annual county fair and other events. Golfers can choose from two world-class private courses, the Jack Nicklaus-designed Ruby Hill Golf Club and the Castlewood Country Club golf course. Public courses include Pleasanton Fairways, Canyon Lakes, Sunol Valley, Poppy Ridge, Las Positas and The Course at Wente Vineyards.
Medical Facilities    Dozens of medical offices at Hacienda specialize in everything from physical therapy and sports medicine to back and orthopedic problems. The ValleyCare Medical Campus, with its hospital, ambulatory care center, lab and out-patient clinic, has facilities both in and adjacent to Hacienda.  Pleasanton hosts a 120,000-square-foot Kaiser Permanente facility less than a mile to the west of Hacienda. Other medical facilities include the Tri-Valley Surgery Center, Pleasanton Urgent Care, and the nearby Eden, John Muir and San Ramon Regional medical centers.  Axis Community Health opened a new health center at Hacienda in February. The facility provides affordable medical and mental health services for Tri-Valley residents. Also new to Hacienda is the Pleasanton Outpatient Center, a 92,000-square foot facility in walking distance of BART. It hosts physicians in various specialties, lab and imaging services and urgent care. The center is a joint venture by John Muir Health and San Ramon Regional Medical Center.

Early to Adult Education     For young children, a variety of childcare facilities with strong educational programs are offered at Hacienda. Hacienda hosts Genius Kids, Global Village Montessori, Pleasanton Bilingual Montessori Preschool and Yan Fan Preschool.  Heads Up! Hacienda Child Development Center can accommodate 256 children from ages three weeks to six years. Operators of the center, the Early Learning Institute, also offer an elementary school program at Hacienda School. Also located in Hacienda is Hart Middle School, one of Pleasanton Unified School District's many distinguished schools. The Pleasanton Unified School District is one of the best school systems in California, with many district schools regularly winning recognition in the California Department of Education's "Distinguished Schools" program, an honor accorded to only 5% to 10% of the state’s schools each year. Other options at Hacienda include the Stratford School, an independent private school whose mission is to create a safe, nurturing school environment that inspires children to reach their full potential. Nearly a dozen academic and enrichment options for children are located at Hacienda. Tutoring, including academic skills, exam prep and subject tutoring, are provided by: Huntington Learning Academy, HS2 Academy, JEI Learning Centers, Summit Tutoring and TriValley Academy. Safari Kid also provides preschool and afterschool education. For students with ADHD, autism and specific learning disability (SLD), Transition Learning Center provides academic and vocational programs. Young language lovers can learn Chinese or Spanish at Yang Fan Academy, and participate in afterschool and educational programs. Other enrichment options are provided at Ichen Art Academy and New World Music Academy. Employees can keep their skills sharp at Hacienda. Several universities, including UC Berkeley and Golden Gate University, offer extension courses at Hacienda in topics such as computer systems, international economics, labor management and communications.
