Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Popular with Area CEO's

A host of CEO's and executives from Hacienda were on hand as the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation (PPIE) held its second annual CEO Dinner on November 14. Repeating their roles from last year's dinner, David Duffield and Bill TauscherCEOs of PeopleSoft and Vanstar, respectivelyserved as "Head CEOs" for the event.

The event helps fund PPIE's ten programs which the foundation coordinates for the benefit of Pleasanton students. "Last year, we worked with approximately 600 volunteers and donors and 450 businesses," said Donna McMillion, PPIE's executive director.

Money was raised in the form of tips given to each CEO, who served as waiters and waitresses for their ten invited guests. Over 300 people in all attended the event.

A special moment in the evening came when PPIE announced special grants named after Duffield and Tauscher, in recognition of their help in serving as Head CEOs for the first two years of the event.
