Food Bank Hosts Awards Ceremony February 26

The winner of this year's Holiday Food Drive competition will be announced by the Alameda County Community Food Bank at the Airport Hilton on Hegenberger Road in Oakland on February 26. All participating Hacienda companies are invited.

This year's Holiday Food Drive was held as a friendly competition with Harbor Bay and Marina Village business parks in Alameda. Hacienda businesses donated a total of 108,447 pounds of food as well as making a monetary contribution of $11,379. The total dwarfs the record set by last year's contributions of over 35,000 pounds of food and $8,000.

Documentum was the star of the show. Not only did Documentum make the largest donations of any Hacienda business - 95,100 pounds of food and $9,100 - but the company made the largest donation of any single organization in all of the Food Bank's holiday food drive.
