With nearly 30 restaurants to choose from, Hacienda has a great mealtime selection. Ranging from burgers to ethnic cuisines to unique California hybrids, you could have lunch at a different place every day for a month and never leave the park.

Amelia's offers traditional deli fare as well as exotic gourmet sandwiches such as Tandoori chicken, chicken satay, all on four kinds of homemade bread. Other specialties include salads, desserts, and an espresso bar. Amelia's caters as well.

Arby's Restaurant , 5900 Owens Dr., 8 to 10 daily, (925) 467-1912, $1-$4. Arby's Hacienda location offers their famous roast beef sandwiches as well as subs, curly fries, and more. This location has a drive-through window as well.

Big Apple Bagels , 4555 Hopyard Rd., Ste. 13, 5:30 to 7 M-F, 6:30 to 5 Sat., 7 to 5 Sun., (925) 460-3737, $.60-$4. Big Apple Bagels offers bagels, deli sandwiches, muffins, and specialty coffees. Want a bagel with a twist? Try one of their 15 different cream cheese toppings. Party platters are available, too.

Borders Books - Music - Cafe , 4575 Rosewood Dr., 9 to 11 M-Sat., 9 to 9 Sun., (925) 227-1412, $4.75-$6.75. Borders offers the opportunity to listen to some music, read a book, and have lunch at the same time. Specialties include their pesto chicken and Italian sandwiches, quiches, salad, soup, coffee, muffins, desserts, and more.

Carl's Jr. , 4555 Hopyard Rd., Ste. 25, 7 to 10 M-F, 9 to 10 Sat., 11 to 5 Sun., (925) 460-8050, $1-$4. Carl's Jr. offers freshly cooked hamburgers and other hot sandwiches plus a salad bar. Don't miss the curly fries!

The Cheese Steak Shop , 4825 Hopyard Rd., Ste. 20, 10 to 9:30 M-Sat., 11 to 8 Sun., (925) 734-0293, $5 and up. A little bit of Philly in Pleasanton, the Cheese Steak Shop offers cheese steak sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and hoagies, with hot dogs and hamburgers for the kids.

Chevys , 5877 Owens Dr., 11 to 10 Sun-Th., 11 to 11 F-Sat., (925) 416-0451, $6 up. Chevys offers their famous Fresh Mex cuisine, including fajitas, daily fresh fish specials, homemade tortillas, fresh chips and salsa, and tasty margaritas. Their special lunch combos are another popular offering. Patio dining is available.

Chili's , 4801 Hopyard Rd., 11 to 11 M-Th., 11 to midnight F, 11 to 11 Sat., 11 to 10:30 Sun., (925) 734-0911, $7-$15. Chili's offers fajitas, burgers, salads, their Mambo Combo appetizer, margaritas and more. Many have sung the praises of Chili's baby back ribs. No reservations; catering available.

Courtyard Cafe , 5059 Hopyard Rd., 6:30 to 10 a.m. M-F., 7 to 11:30 a.m. Sat.-Sun., (925) 463-1414, $5.95-$7.95. Part of the Courtyard by Marriott, the cafe serves breakfast exclusively: a la carte, buffet style, continental, and European.

Domino's Pizza , 5692 Stoneridge Dr., 11 to midnight M-Th, 11 to 1 a.m. F-Sat, 11 to 10 Sun., (925) 460-5144, $2.99 up. Domino's offers pizza with your choice of toppings including personal sized pizzas, chicken wings, and more. Delivery and carry out only.

Faz America , 5121 Hopyard Rd., open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily with a Sunday brunch, (925) 460-0444, $9-$25. Faz's California cuisine with Mediterranean overtones is a great choice for a meal to close that big deal. With their signature grilled salmon and other fresh fish, fresh pasta, NY steak, rack of lamb, and even a wood-burning oven for gourmet pizza, Faz can satisfy the pickiest of palates. Live music in the lounge nightly, patio seating. Reservations appreciated but not required.

Hasegawa Japanese Restaurant , 4855 Hopyard Rd., Ste. 6, 11:30 to 2 and 5:15 to 9 M-F, 5 to 8:45 Sat.-Sun., (925) 734-0996, $6.50-$16. Hasegawa features carefully prepared sushi and other Japanese delicacies such as tempura and teriyaki, as well as a takeout lunch. Catering, small party services, and sushi party plates available.

The Honey Baked Ham Co. , 4555 Hopyard Road, Ste. 11, 10 to 6 M-F, 10-5 Sat., (925) 734-9418, $4.99-$6. The specialty here is, naturally, honey baked ham and other deli sandwiches. Half or whole hams are also sold on the premises.

Hong Kong Express , 4555 Hopyard Rd., Ste. 5, 11 to 8 M-Sat., (925) 734-8288, lunch $5.95, dinner $6.95. The feature here is a Hong Kong style buffet with 30 items, including dim sum, salad, sweet and sour park, and vegetables. To-go orders are available.

Jamba Juice , 4555 Hopyard Rd., Ste. 17, 7 to 7 M-F, 7:30 to 6 Sat, (925) 847-8525, $1.50-$3.95. Jamba Juice's specialty is blended to order smoothies and healthy breads, soups, and even wheat grass and other fresh-squeezed juices.

Lyon's Restaurant , 4889 Hopyard Rd., 5 am to 1 am Sun-Th, open 24 hours F-Sat., (925) 734-9135, $6.49-$11.99. Lyon's is a family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including lunch specials like the French dip combo and dinners including top sirloin and prime rib.

Madras Indian Cuisine , 5681 Gibraltar Dr., Ste. 1. The latest addition to Hacienda's restaurant menu, will bring a taste of curry and other Indian specialties to the park. Look for Madras to open in late June or early July.

McDonald's , 4501 Rosewood Dr. (inside Wal*Mart), 8 to 10 M-Sat., 8 to 9 Sun., (925) 734-8744, $1-$4. Breakfast meals, chicken and fish sandwiches, and of course McDonald's familiar hamburgers and fries.

Red Robin Burger & Spirits Emporium , 4503 Rosewood Dr., 11 to 11 Sun.-Th., 11-midnight F-Sat. (kitchen closes one hour before closing while bar remains open), (925) 225-1755, $4.95-$9.95. In addition to their specialty cocktails and monster milkshakes, Red Robin is known for their gourmet burgers, fajitas, soups, salads, sandwiches, and more.

Round Table Pizza , 4855 Hopyard Rd., Ste. 1, 9 to 11 daily, (925) 847-0750, $3 up. Billed as "the last honest pizza," Round Table offers gourmet pizzas as well as the opportunity to pick your own toppings, sandwiches, a salad bar, and a wide screen TV. Take out and delivery are available, too.
