  • Elavon Helps Healthcare Providers Evolve Past Paper Checks

Elavon, a global payments provider with offices in Hacienda, has partnered with healthcare network platform creator Emdeon to launch Transend Pay, a payment processing platform for hospitals and healthcare providers that allows electronic payments, significantly reducing the time it takes to receive payments from health insurance carriers.

“The National Academy of Social Insurance estimates that nearly 30 percent of healthcare expenses are attributable to administrative costs as opposed to clinical costs,” said Rustin Fichtner, senior vice president and general manager of healthcare services for Elavon. “The combination of our global expertise in secure payments solutions with Emdeon’s leadership position in processing U.S. health insurance claims makes Transend Pay a premier payments option for providers so they can focus on providing the best care for their patients instead of spending time and resources on tracking paper checks from insurance companies.”
