The Livermore/Amador Valley Transit Authority, operator of WHEELS, is seeking comment on their operations and input into their Short Range Transportation Plan. This is your opportunity to give feedback directly to WHEELS, express interest in new routing, offer your critique of the system or compliment the things you appreciate.

Hacienda Route Changes

No substantive changes are being proposed to Hacienda routes. The Hacienda Owners Association is requesting that some small redistribution be considered between Routes 7, 8 and 9 so that the service is better balanced. WHEELS is also contemplating the elimination of the Route 1 service. In that regard, the Association will be requesting that the Route 4 be brought down Chabot Drive so as to maintain the service through the park previously provided by Route 1. Further changes are possible; however, your comments and opinions are needed to help formulate additional direction.

Service Difficulties

Service difficulties have been recorded on some WHEELS routes; predominantly the Route 8. Comments concerning these difficulties will be forwarded to WHEELS. Information pertaining to other problems with service are always appreciated. These may be sent at any time to the contacts shown below.

Opportunities to Comment

All comments are needed by Friday, December 4, 1998. The Association would like to receive a copy of all comments sent to WHEELS for our reference. The Association can also forward comments to WHEELS on your behalf as part of our review.
