On Saturday, June 26, 2004, the American Cancer Society will host the Relay for Life at Livermore High School. Hacienda's H&R Block Mortgage has sponsored the Livermore event for $10,000 and will have over 60 associates along with their friends and families participating. Relay for Life

Relay for Life is a fun-filled 24 hour relay that takes place nationwide to help raise awareness and fund research for cancer. It unites millions of people in thousands of communities nationwide each year to raise money to help prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from the disease. H&R Block Mortgage is sponsoring the Livermore Relay for Life. The Livermore event will be held at Livermore High School located at 600 Maple Street. The event begins at 9:00 am on June 26th and ends at 9:00 am on June 27th. There will be live entertainment, food, games and activities for kids throughout the entire event.

Participation

The goal is to get teams of friends, businesses, service organizations and more to raise funds for cancer research by walking or running around the track. At least one person from each team will be on the track during the 24 hour event. There are many ways to participate in the Relay for Life. You can volunteer your services, join an existing team, start a new team, sponsor a walker or make a donation online by visiting www.acsevents.org/relay/ca/livermore.
