BOOK BUCK$ FAMILY READING PROGRAM

Join the Tri-Valley Herald for their 12th Annual Book Buck$ Family Reading Program. This award-winning family reading project gets kids into a daily reading habit while rewarding them with Book Buck$.

Reading Pays Off

From February 6-10, 2006 reading will pay off for children participating in the 2006 Newscopia Book Buck$ program. More than 40,000 students, siblings and their parents will get a glimpse of ancient Rome while learning more about our modern world. They will learn about the basics of 2,000 year old mythology and will be instructed to roam throughout the Herald where they will find similarities to the world today. At the end of the week, all young participants will be rewarded with Book Buck$ they can spend on everything from books to zoo passes.

Participation

There are two ways Hacienda affiliates can participate in this award-winning program. Sponsorships are welcome to help bring the program to local schools or you can donate a prize for the participants to "buy" with their buck$. A number of recognition opportunities are available to event supporters.
