HACIENDA TASK FORCE - AUGUST

Park landowners and Association representatives are taking part on a task force along with representatives of nearby Hacienda residential projects and interested community members. The Hacienda Task Force is charged with creating planning recommendations for use by the City Council in their consideration of projects that will be brought forward on sites near the BART station. The Hacienda Task Force is being supplemented by a separate Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee includes representatives from outside groups and agencies who have expressed interest in contributing their insight and expertise into the planning process.

Upcoming Meeting

The next Hacienda Task Force meeting is taking place on Thursday, August 26 at 7:00 pm. This meeting will be held at the Pleasanton Library Meeting Room, 400 Old Bernal Avenue and is scheduled to last until 9:30 pm. The session is primarily being devoted to an examination of different interpretations of the input received from the task force and advisory group over the last several meetings that will be used to inform the development of a preferred plan. On August 17, the City Council approved a settlement with Urban Habitat. The entire agreement and background staff materials are available at the following location: www.ci.pleasanton.ca.us/government/meetings/cc-agenda-100817.html (Item 15 on the Regular Meeting Agenda). Of particular note is the schedule of actions that the city must complete over the next few months, including actions pertaining to the work of the Hacienda Task Force, in order to fully comply with the terms of the settlement agreement. These actions will have a direct bearing on the task force schedule and activities between now and the end of the year.
