    Adecco has signed an agreement to purchase the generalist and IT staffing businesses of Olsten Corporation. Olsten Health Services will be spun off as a separate corporation.

  • Foodmaker, Inc.

    Foodmaker, Inc., operator and franchiser of Jack in the Box restaurants, will change their name to Jack in the Box Inc. on October 4. "Although the Foodmaker name served us well through the years, Jack in the Box has become a brand synonymous with quality, leadership and performance, and we want to put that name front-and-center in all our communications with the public," said Robert J. Nugent, president and CEO.

    A recent survey by Accountemps, a Robert Half International company, indicates that an overwhelming majority of executives 78 percent prefer chronological resumes over those presented by job function. "Hiring managers look for growth in responsibility when reviewing resumes," explains Max Messmer, chairman.
